Nature Of Things
Clouds high above the sky
Covers the vast blue sky beyond
Birds fly, soaring high
With wings flapping in the wind.
Trees stand gracefully
Leaves, branches sway with the breeze
Multi-colored flowers abloom
Its petals kissed by butterflies.
People walking, kids playing
Cars roaring by,
Unmindful of nature's beauty...
Of God's gift to mankind.
Typhoon, floods
Strong winds bend trees,
A dry spell came about
Once green meadows now left barren.
Until then do we long for green pastures…
For flowers to bloom, smell their sweet fragrance.
Until then do we long to see birds fly…
Hear their sweet voices once more.
Only then do we notice...
How fleeting time can be…
How different life can become…
For what was once beautiful is now gone.
